2018-2019 Open Houses are Set at Lake Local Schools

Lake Elementary School Ribbon Cutting/Open House is Set for August 20
Lake Local Schools cordially invites community members to celebrate the opening of its state-of-the-art, 135,504 square-foot newly constructed and completed Lake Elementary School Monday, August 20, 2018.  The address for the building is 225 Lincoln St. in Hartville. 
Computer Laptops Will be Issued to Students in Grades 7-12 Before School Starts
Laptop computers will be issued to many smiling Lake Local students in grades 7-12 in late August, 2018 as a result of a technology initiative included in the school bond issue approved by Lake voters in May, 2015.  This will be the third year laptops have been issued to Lake students. 
Immunizations Required for Incoming Seventh Graders, Seniors before Sept, 4, 2018
All incoming Lake seniors and seventh graders are required by Ohio school law to show proof of receiving two immunizations BEFORE the first day of school next fall, which will be Sept. 4, 2018 for grades 1-12.

The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is making it known to the community that there is a  zero tolerance policy for individuals who issue or repost threatening messages using social media.

Lake Local Institutes Visitor Policy
The Lake Local School District now has a procedure requiring all visitors and volunteers to present a photo ID to the main office staff in each building.  The photo ID will be exchanged for a Visitor’s badge and will be returned once the visit is completed.
