NEW THIS YEAR:  For kids who are interested in learning about the technical side of theatre, we will be offering workshops where students will learn to design sound, lighting, scenery, and props.  They will be taught how to use each piece of equipment, and will be given opportunities to operate the equipment during the show.

PASS Camp 2019 will be led by Emily Walls and Cory Kosman.
Emily Walls, Camp Director, Acting Director, is a theatrical director, drama club advisor, and color guard instructor at Lake Middle High School.  She holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre Studies with a concentration in Theatre Production from the School of Theatre and Dance at Kent State University.
She also has vast experience working for many well-known artists and companies such as Cedar Point’s Live Entertainment Department and Jacob’s Pavilion at Nautica, in positions such as stage management, backstage technician, and lighting technician. She is incredibly excited to join the PASS Camp team this year, and hopes to provide a positive educational experience for students while having fun and putting on a quality production.
 Emily Walls
Cory Kosman, Technical Director, is a multi-discipline theatre specialist from Hinckley, Oh. He has been the technical director at Lake Middle High School for two years.  He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design and Technology from the School of Theatre and Dance at Kent State University with a concentration in sound design.  Before working at Lake, he was the audio supervisor for Cedar Point’s Live Entertainment Department, where he mixed the night show Luminosity: Ignite the Night. He hopes to grow the technical aspects of theatre here at PASS camp and at Lake Middle High School for years to come.
 Cory Kosman
Also assisting with directing PASS Camp this year will be Elizabeth Domer, Music Director, and Ryan Leflar, Dance Choreographer.
This year's camp will run July 8 - August 11, 2019 from 1-5 p.m. four days a week, Monday through Thursday in the Performing Arts Hall at Lake Middle High School.
Performances will run August 9, 10, 11, 2019.
The 2019 PASS camp production will be Seussical Jr.  It is based on Seussical,  performed on Broadway and currently one of the most performed musicals in America.  This family friendly show is a fantastical, magical tour-de-force by Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who have lovingly brought to life some of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters: Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination, Jojo.
"Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters meet up and have adventures in a memorable musical!
Audience members will be transported from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus as the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant who discovers the Whos.
Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.  Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
