November 6th is a District-Wide Delayed Start Day!

 

Note Upcoming Delayed Start Dates for 2019-2020 at Lake Local Schools
See upcoming delayed start dates during the 2019 -2020 school year below.  These delayed starts allow staff to benefit from professional development opportunities provided to them.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 - two-hour delayed start for grades K-12; buses will run two hours later than normal.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019 - two-hour delayed start for grades 7-12 at Lake Middle/High School ONLY; buses will run at their normal times on this day.
  • Wednesday, March 4, 2020 - two-hour delayed start for grades K-12; buses will run two hours later than normal.
  • Wednesday, April 8, 2020 - two-hour delayed start for grades 7-12 at Lake Middle/High School ONLY; buses will run at their normal times on this day. 

Students in Career Tech Education (CTE) should note the following information that will apply on these dates:

  • A.M. and P.M. CTE buses run as usual for Lake students going to Hoover (H), Jackson (J) and GlenOak (GO).
  • Incoming (H, J, GO) students – No morning CTE classes at Lake; Afternoon classes remain as usual.
  • All Lake Students attending CTE programs in the afternoon are REQUIRED to attend ALL academic classes at Lake through third period (regardless of the typical time students depart for afternoon CTE classes).  Please see Mrs. Marshall if there is a conflict. 
  • Example:  During a typical school day a CTE student is done with LHS a.m. classes after third period (10:05 a.m.).  On a late start day, third period will end  at 11:05 a.m.  Students are to stay through third period on this day. 
  • Lake students with a 4th period class at Lake will be excused from 4th period to go to their CTE class taking place in another school district. 4th period teachers will be notified. 
  • Lake students with a 1st period class at Lake will be excused from 1st period to go to CTE classes that take place at Hoover, Jackson or GlenOak.

** Students are encouraged to pack a lunch on late start days but will have plentry of time to get to afternoon classes at neighboring schools.
