A total of 10 local high school bands, including the 201-member Lake High School Marching Band, will be participating this year. Visiting bands this year include those from Alliance High School, Canton South High School, Carrollton High School, Jackson Local High School, Minerva High School, Sandy Valley High School, Stow Munroe Falls High School, Tuslaw High School, and United Local High School.
Continuing a Lake Band Show tradition, the evening’s finale will bring all band members together from all the various high schools present to perform a patriotic tribute – Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA.
Other musical numbers that the Lake High School Band plans to perform that night include:

• Hooked on a Feeling
• I Want it That Way
• Shape of You/Castle on the Hill Medley
• Le Regiment (accompanying music as band members complete the Script Lake)
General admission tickets will also be sold at the gate for $7; senior citizen and student tickets will cost $5 at the gate. Preschool age children will be admitted free of charge. Handicap seating is available on a first come, first served basis. In the event of inclement weather, there is no rain date, and there will be no refunds.
The Lake High School Marching Band was recognized as the “Battle of the Bands Winner” during the recent 2019 Hall of Fame Parade based on its performance in the parade last year; band directors are Josh Laux, Jared Cooey, Mark Tryon, and Rich Kibler. Lake Band members have been preparing for the upcoming Band Show since late July.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Lake Band Boosters, and go toward providing four $1,000 Band Booster scholarships to four deserving graduating seniors, financing social activities for Band members, financing band member attendance at summer band camps, and uniforms.
