Food distribution for
Families in need Update 3/21/20
Lake Township FISH and
Love Our Community have been working together to coordinate efforts within our
community during this state of emergency.
Due to guidance from
the Akron-Canton Regional FoodBank, the FISH food pantry will be changing their
food distribution to pre-packed bags in a drive-thru method in order to
decrease the amount of people inside the facility.
Emergency food bags will be available for pickup from the FISH Food
Pantry this week Tuesday, March 24th 10a-12p and Thursday,
March 26th 5p-7p.
If you are in need of
food, please register here:
If you do not have
access to a computer, please call 330-877-1845 and leave a voicemail to
register. Also, be sure to use the gate entrance for the food pantry at 1117
Sunnyside St in Hartville when you come to pick-up food.
We understand that this is a high stress time for everyone, and we respect everyone’s right to shelter in place. However, if you feel well and wish to volunteer to help pack bags or distribute food, please go to: https://bit.ly/FISHVolunteer and sign up. We have added shift options in order to allow
volunteers to limit their time in public, as well as keep volunteer groups to
10 or less people. We will be packing bags on Monday & Wednesday and
distributing the bags on Tuesday & Thursday.
The FISH Food Pantry
will be open for donations on Monday 9:30a-12:30p and Wednesday 12p-3p.
Monetary donations can be made on our website, www.laketownshipfish.org .
Thank you to everyone
for linking arms and working together to support our neighbors during this time
of uncertainty. It takes us all.
