On Wednesday, October 18th, fourth and fifth grade students at Lake Elementary held their first Lake Leaders lesson on Respect. Lake Elementary principal, Mrs. Bruner and Hartville Elementary principal, Mrs. Lyberger talked to the classroom representatives and discussed what respect looks like in class, at lunch, on recess, and on the bus.
Respect means you care enough to think about others’ feelings before you act. As Blue Streaks, we respect ourselves, others, our school, and our environment.
The students wrote many examples on how we can show respect throughout the school day.
These students will meet each month for the rest of the school year and take what they learned back to the classroom to share with their classmates. Lake Leaders focus is on Lake’s RICHER values.
