Congratulations to the Academic Challenge Team on winning
the Tri County Academic Challenge League Tournament last night at Jackson High
School. The team of Jack Bullock,
Julliette Smyers, Tate Testa, Alex Xuan, Madelynn Hobson, Alex Tieche, and
Blaine Hudak took down the competition with epic comebacks in both the
semifinals and the finals. This is the
first time a Lake team has won the league tournament. Also --- congratulations to the JV Academic
Challenge team for placing 2nd in the regular season. Congratulations on a great season!
Winter Formal tickets are currently on sale through Friday!
Tickets are $12 each. Cash purchases can be made in the Commons during 4th and
5th periods. Credit card purchases should be completed online at
https://www.locallevelevents.com/events/details/4080. Guest forms should be
APPROVED before ticket purchases. Lifetouch Photography order forms will be
available in the Commons or can be completed the day of the dance. See Mr. Six

scholarships are beginning to come in. It is important to check this resource on a weekly basis to make sure
you are not missing any deadlines for these scholarships. If you have any

Do you want a chance to win a $25 Chipotle gift card? If so, help support a Lake High School
Business, Podge Collage, by buying a wood heart with pictures of your loved
ones on it. Sales will run from January 24th through through
February 9th every Wednesday in the Commons during Periods 4a and
5a. There are also order forms available in Room 400. Look for flyers around
the school for more information.
The Lake Arts For Hearts Show will be returning to the PAH on February 17th. It will showcase all kinds of performers from our school, as well as artists and photographers. Auditions will be after school in Mrs. Bordo’s room from 2:45-4:00, on January 31st, February 1st, and February 2nd. Sign-ups will be posted outsider of her room today. If you are a singer, an actor, a dancer, a musician, or any type of artist, we would love to have you perform in the showcase! All money raised will be donated to the VH-1 Save the Music Foundation, which creates music programs in underprivileged schools across the country. One of the businesses from our Marketing Class, 330 Party Bro’s, will be hosting a volleyball tournament on February 17th. Interested students can sign up outside of the cafeteria during lunch periods from January 29th until February 16nd. There is an entry fee of $5 a person and each team must have at least 5 people on their roster. 10% of the profits will be donated to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
