• In Language Arts the standards we will focus on are: Literary Text, Informational Text,  Vocabulary, and Reading Process.
• We will develop several pieces of writing.  These include: a response to literature, a letter, a narrative, and an informational report.
• Students will have a WORDS TO KNOW list each month.  They should practice these at home because there will be an assessment at the end of the month.
• Students will have a reading log and are expected to read at home several nights a week.
• Please check your son or daughter's RED Language Arts for any important papers.
• The best thing you can do is read with your child and ask questions about what has been read.
