The Blue Streaks Boys Bowling team picked up a win over Indian Valley by 126 pins. Lake was led by Scott Reynolds with a 190 game/366 series.  Josh Eaton added a 186 game/355 series. The V Boys team is now 4-9 on the season.  In the JV match,  Lake won. Jake Trent rolled a 169 game/322 series. Lane Evans had a 165 game and Ryan Hammer had a 160 game. 

The Lake Varsity Girls Bowling team lost a close match to Indian Valley.  Lake was led by Mackenzie Bozman who had a 193 game/374 series. Skylar Oshell added a 191 game and Ashlee Cunningham added a 181 game. The Girls Bowling team is now 10-3 on the season. The Varsity Bowling teams are on the road Friday afternoon to take on the Conotton Valley Rockets.

High School Book Club: Our lunchtime viewing of Murder on the Orient Express begins on Monday.  You can still pick up copies of Agatha Christie’s classic “who done it” in the library. Bring your lunch to the movie; popcorn is provided!

Students in grades 9-11 are reminded that they will be scheduling for their 2021-2022 classes starting Tuesday, January 26th, during their English classes. Please be prepared with your signed and completed scheduling sheets and your 4-year graduation plan. School counselors will be in the classrooms for questions and to help you enter your course requests.

Students interested in a career tech education program should refer to the checklist to be sure they  meet the specific deadlines for each program. The first deadline is tomorrow, January 22nd. If you have questions, please complete the “request to be seen form” on the counseling webpage.

The 7th Grade Lady Blue Streaks improved to 8 and 1 on Tuesday night, defeating Hoover Orange 34 to 22. Olivia Draher and Savanna Horning both had 12 points while the defensive effort was led by Olivia Sedmock, Sydney Hedrick, and Gianna Greathouse.

Yesterday, the 7th and 8th grade Academic Challenge Team completed their meet with Jackson and came out victorious. After losing the first two rounds, your Blue Streaks team had an epic comeback winning the last three rounds of the meet. Please congratulate the team on their teamwork, collaborative efforts, and focus over the last two days.

Attention high school drama club members: if you ordered a club jacket, they are ready to be picked up in the Performing Arts Hall booth.

Students in grades 9-11 are reminded that they will be scheduling for their 2021-2022 classes starting Tuesday, January 26th, during their English classes. Attention all chess players, masters, and newbies, the chess club will meet in Mr. McCoy’s room (room 213) today after school for an informational meeting. Everyone is welcome, no matter your skill level!

Auditions will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 26th and 27th.  Also, if you were a member of last year’s case, please see Mrs. Bordo sometime before the end of the week. Everyone else, feel free to see Mrs. Bordo if you have any questions.

The Lady Streaks basketball team came up a little short last night, losing to Green 44-38. Kiley Dyrlund led the way with 12 points while Paige Marshall chipped in with 11 points. The Lady Streaks travel to Green on Wednesday for a rematch.

LMHS Ski Club is inviting skiers and boarders to a trip to Peek-n-Peak Friday, February 12th. High school students have priority sign-ups until January 27th. After that, all 7th and 8th graders interested in going may sign up. The sign-up deadline for every student is Friday February 5th. Seats are limited so first come, first served. You will need an informational flyer with a permission slip. Please see Mr. Rector, Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Pinion.

Middle School Drama will have their first meeting for all who are interested in being in crew today from 2:30-5:00. Please meet Mr. Kosman in the PAH on the stage.

Attention 7th and 8th grade Academic Challenge Team: Please remember to meet in Mrs. Miller's classroom directly after school today. Please wish the team "good luck" as they have their first meet against Jackson today.
