No School - Friday, February 26, 2021

Important

February 8, 2021

Dear Lake Local Parents,

I am writing to inform you that we were able to successfully vaccinate 308 Lake Local staff members this past Friday. We all thank you for the efforts you had to make in order for us to be able to close school and make this happen.

We will once again need to take off 1 more day in order to complete the 2nd vaccination.

Lake Local Schools will be CLOSED on Friday, February 26th due to staff vaccinations.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience’s school closings present for our families. It is difficult to logistically handle such vaccines without closing due to the location we are vaccinated and the need to do it in one day. As we work with our Stark County Health Department partners and all the schools in our county we worked together to make these plans in this manner. We looked at many options and felt this was the best way to take care of our school staff.

We feel so very fortunate to have been afforded this opportunity. We feel very blessed that we have been able to continue to operate in person and virtually throughout this pandemic. Your efforts at home have not been overlooked or taken for granted. We sincerely THANK YOU.

Additionally, please be reminded that Monday, February 15 we are CLOSED for Presidents’ Day.

Please Note: We are IN SESSION on Friday, February 12. Our original school calendar had that day as a professional development day, that was changed when we changed the start of school date in August.

  • Friday, February 12 – IN SESSION – SCHOOL OPEN
  • Monday, February 15 – No School – Presidents’ Day
  • Friday, February 26 – No School – 2nd Staff Vaccination Day

Sincerely,

Kevin Tobin

Superintendent
